Role Summary
Clinical Services Case Manager Interns provide case management, advocacy, safety planning, goal
planning, support, and connection to and coordination of additional community resources to clients
participating in the clinical (counseling and therapy) services at Tubman Chrysalis in south Minneapolis.

Position Responsibilities
- Collaborate and communicate with clinical staff in providing individualized case management services to clients who are participating in the mental health programming at Tubman
- Connect with community partners/providers to assure strength-based, trauma-informed, and holistic services to each client
- Effectively work as part of the clinical team including supervisor and community partners as well as independently with clients
- Attendance and participation at case consultation meetings
- Timely follow-through with clients, service providers, and completion of all documentation
Position Qualifications:
- Understanding of and a desire to learn more about the impact of trauma, domestic violence, mental and chemical health concerns with individuals and families
- Personal and/or professional experience with people from diverse backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences and the ability to work with diverse teams and foster an inclusive environment
- Experience in customer service, crisis intervention, human services-related work preferred
- Flexible and mature self-starter with the ability to take initiative, communicate effectively, and advocate as needed
- Willingness and ability to use supervision for personal and professional growth
- Knowledge, skills and understanding of empathy, respect and relationship building
- Comfortable with technology, including basic computer programs and databases
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel may be helpful, but not required
Time Commitment & Availability
- 10-15 hours per week preferred
- Must have daytime availability during the week including Tuesday mornings.
- Beginning with training on May 9th and continuing through early September is preferred
Supervision & Training
- Attend Tubman’s five-part Volunteer/Intern Orientation and Training Series
- Supervised by a mental health therapist
