Cribbage in the Schools Program: For over 17 years, this intergenerational program has used cribbage as a fun and interactive way to help students improve their math skills.
As a volunteer, you will be required to present your driver's license the first time you check in at the school. After check-in, you’ll join a small group of 3-4 students in the classroom to play or teach cribbage. The students will have already been introduced to the game, and your role will be to either play alongside them or guide them by offering advice on which cards to play and reminding them of the rules. If any issues arise with students, please inform the teacher.
Afton Lakeland Elementary hosts cribbage sessions on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month with Rob Wallace's 4th-grade class.
