This is a perfect project for youth groups and teams!
Help to protect local lakes, rivers, and streams by educating the community. Many people don't realize that storm drains in streets connect directly to waterways without any treatment. Anything that goes down the storm drain - litter, dog poop, dirt, grass clippings, road salt, etc. - ends up in our water.
We have storm drain stencils, spray paint, and safety cones and vests for volunteers to use while stenciling storm drains in their neighborhoods.

Volunteers can also distribute door-hangers to promote the Adopt-a-Drain program while they are out stenciling. www.Adopt-a-Drain.org
