Celebrate volunteerism with Community Thread! Since 1975, Community Thread and the Washington County Board of Commissioners have partnered up to recognize valuable volunteers in the community through the Community Involvement Awards.
How to get involved:
- Nominate a volunteer or volunteer group in one of the six categories - Youth, Legacy, Lifetime, Outstanding, Exemplary Employer, and Group/Family.
- Nominations can be made by filling out the PDF form here, and mailing to Community Thread or emailing it to Volunteer@CommunityThreadmn.org.
- Once submitted, information will be forwarded to the Selection Committee. The Selection Committee will review applications after the deadline of March 13. Nominees and awardees will be notified the week of March 21.
- Hold the dates for Black Tie Bingo on April 13, 2024 - Community Thread's annual fundraiser where nominators and awardees are recognized; and Community Involvement Award Breakfast on April 25, 2024.
Nomination Information:
- Nominees must be residents of or volunteer for organizations in Washington County.
- Nominees must meet the criteria (i.e., minimum age, and volunteer commitment) for the respective award they are being nominated for in order to be considered.
