Who We Are

By partnering with local agencies, The Connect Center (TCC), formally known as St. Croix Family Resource Center (FRC), helps youth and families renew hope by opening doors to sustainable housing, financial stability, and healthy community connections. TCC supports families and youth as they identify and work toward their long term goals for their finances, education, employment, transportation, housing, family and parenting skills and other areas of life. TCC has been serving neighbors in need since 1997. Professional staff and trained volunteers empower families and youth to break the barriers that lead to financial stability through long-term relational support and connecting them to community.

What We Do

By partnering with local agencies, TCC helps clients make healthy community connections for a more secure life.

-Family Connections Program: Families receive support for basic needs and then work toward short and long term goals for their finances, employment, education, housing, family life, and community connections. Services are individualized to meet families’ goals.

-Career Connections Program: After assessing strengths and skills, Family Advocates help clients pursue a living wage career with a personalized plan that supports getting promoted, going to college, or starting their own business. Through long-term guidance and support of Family Advocates, clients learn to set and reach their personal and family goals.

-Kids Connections Program: Kids gather after school and during the summer for fun learning activities that promote healthy minds, bodies, and spirits through building social- emotional skills, exploring the arts, and outdoor physical movement. Opportunities for reading, writing, and math enrichment.

-Youth Connections Program: Youth ages 13-24 experiencing housing instability receive assistance in the Youth Connections Program through individualized coaching and financial support. Drop-In Centers help meet their basic needs of food, clothing, laundry, and resources.

-Supportive Housing Program: Local churches and groups partner with the TCC to provide a structured one-year program for a youth and families in need of stable housing. Participants work toward their goals with an expanded positive support network which includes a volunteer family mentor.

-Host Home Program: Host Home Program provides youth ages 17-24 with culturally responsive housing within their community of choice. Youth live with hosts for up to a year, depending on their housing needs. Hosts provide food and housing while The Connect Center works with the youth on their goals.
