Community Thread's Spring into Service helps local nonprofit organizations who work to strengthen our community every day. Activities are from 10:00 am-noon on Saturday, May 20 with a volunteer breakfast at 8:30 am at Community Thread to kick-off the fun. You can sign up from March 17 to May 5 by following the steps below. Volunteers must be 8 years of age or older. Please check individual projects for specific age requirements. Scroll down to see open projects under Needs and follow the sign-up directions below. Contact Hannah Inselman at 651-439-7434 with questions.
Here's how to sign up:
Scroll to the bottom of the page to view the projects under the Needs section.
You can sort projects. You can decide to search by details such as distance or interest area using the search by drop down menu.
Click on a project that you would like to learn more about. Each project will list the number of volunteer spots remaining.
On the project description page, you will find specific information about the project.
Once you find a project you would like to register for, you will find the button to sign up in the upper right corner of the project page. If you are signing up as an individual, click on the "respond" button. If you are signing up as a team or with a family, click on the button that has the three people in icon (to the right of the respond button).
If you are registering a group and your size is larger than the number listed, we ask that you split your group to complete two projects or find a project requiring enough volunteers to accommodate your group.
You will then be directed to login or register yourself on the website. Each individual or leader must make an account to sign up for Spring into Service.
For individuals signing up:
Once you have created an account, the information will populate for you to sign up for a project site. To finish, all you need to do is click on the orange submit need response button.
For teams signing up:
Once you have created an account, there will be a few additional fields you will need to complete about your team such as your team name and the number of team members that will be participating in the project. To finish, click the on the orange submit team button at the bottom of the page.
You can reserve the number of spots for your team without entering specific names and emails. You can enter those fields at a later date by clicking “manage your team.”
You will receive an email confirming your registration. Please make sure you look for a confirmation email from email@example.com via galaxydigital.com. These emails sometimes go to spam. However, they have important Spring into Service information, so please find them in your mailbox and read them!
