Community Thread is seeking Volunteer Gardeners to help keep our outdoor spaces welcoming and well cared for from spring through fall. Volunteers assist with weeding, planting, raking, watering, and general garden upkeep.

This is a flexible opportunity! Come when you can, with timing and shifts that fit your schedule.

Ideal volunteers enjoy working outdoors, have a basic knowledge of plants or gardening (or are willing to learn), and can comfortably perform light physical tasks like bending, lifting, and using simple tools.

At Community Thread, we believe a well-cared-for space helps people feel welcomed and supported. As a Facilities Maintenance Volunteer, you’ll play an important behind-the-scenes role in keeping our space safe, functional, and inviting for older adults and the community we serve.


You’ll help with light repairs, basic maintenance tasks, and small improvement projects, while also keeping an eye out for any issues that need attention.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is dependable, and can work independently.


Scheduling is flexible and based on your availability.


Qualifications:

Ability to do handy-man type chores in a variety of areas.  Able to work independently, and dependable.
