Help older adults and adults with disabilities live independently!
Rake a Difference Day engages groups of volunteers who what to make a difference in the lives of local community members. Register to volunteer on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 9am - 12pm or choose the date and time most convenient for your group and homeowner!
*Volunteers 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult (1 adult per 5 children age 12 and under)
This year volunteers are asked to bring their own rakes, gloves, and tools, Homeowners will provide the leaf bags or contact the volunteer leader to let them know they do not have any leaf bags.
Volunteers will be asked to wear a face mask if they are within 6 feet of another volunteer or homeowner.
Community Thread follows the CDC guidelines for volunteering:
- Please, stay home if you have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 14 days or are showing COVID-19 symptoms. Anyone who has had close contact with a person who has COVID-19 should also stay home and monitor their health.
- Wear a cloth face covering when less than 6 feet apart from other people or indoors.
- Use social distancing (stay at least 6 feet away from others).
- Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds when you get to Community Thread and when you go home.
