Description

The Brown’s Creek Watershed is a 30 square mile area of land around Brown’s Creek. The Creek travels from its headwaters in Grant, south through Stillwater, and outlets east at the St. Croix River. The Brown’s Creek Watershed District helps to manage the water resources in this area, including Long Lake and Brown’s Creek for water quality, flooding concerns, and tries to improve the ecosystems of these areas. The Community Advisory Committee is group of watershed residents that meet bimonthly to help the board of managers make decisions about how these resources are managed, and plan events and programs for the community. No experience necessary. Everyone over the age of 16 may apply. Applicants must be residents of the Brown’s Creek Watershed District.
