Community Thread is seeking volunteers to help raise funds and visibility for our Holiday Hope program.
Community Thread’s Holiday Hope connects people in need during the holidays to those willing to provide some hope. Low-income families, seniors, and adults with disabilities are matched with sponsors who provide individually chosen gifts and a holiday meal.
Volunteers are needed for the following positions at St. Croix Vineyards:
- Tasting Bar Volunteer –The tasting bar is a busy place where volunteers (age 21 and over) will do tasting pours of different featured wines for customers to sample. Volunteers will be introduced to the featured wines before beginning their shift. Volunteers must be able to stand for four to eight hours.
- Dish Washer – The dishwashing station is adjacent to the tasting bar and can be staffed by anyone over age 16. Volunteers must be able to stand for four to eight hours.
- Stocker and Bottle Opener – In this position, volunteers will carry cases of wine and should be relatively strong (able to lift at least 30 pounds). Volunteers must be able to stand for four to eight hours.
Volunteer shifts vary from 4.5 to 8.5 hours. Morning and afternoon times are available.
St. Croix Vineyards will provide lunch for volunteers on duty during lunch. Volunteers over the age of 21 are entitled to a 25% discount on the day they work and a glass of wine at the end of their shift.
Volunteers will need to sign in and participate in a brief orientation prior to beginning their shifts.
