WCCC is hosting a Circle training for those individuals that are currently volunteering in Circles who have not taken the WCCC Circle Training Program. This is a condensed training (rather than our 2-day training) building on what you know from volunteering and participating in Cir-cles. The training is also great for those who have had training in restorative practices (e.g. victim-offender conferencing), but not in Circles. Learning is participatory including discussion and sharing of experiences and values. Participants will learn about:
- Origins of the Circle process—ritual, tradition, values, balance
- Values, principles, and components of the Circle process
- Types of Circles—Healing, Sentencing, Support
Trainers Kay Longtin and Hon. Gary Schurrer have been conducting circle trainings for over 15 years. They bring their expertise in Restorative Justice and passion for circles to this interac-tive and transformational training.
