Who We Are
At end of life Hospice is a blanket of people wrapped around an individual and their loved ones. They can choose how much of that blanket offers them comfort and when. As a volunteer you are a part of this compassionate team.
Hospice cares for both patient and family focusing on comfort in meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
In volunteering the gifts are unable to be measured on both sides, yours and the individual you are assigned to. We give our time in 33 counties in Minnesota and into Wisconsin. This means that personalized requests are near you!
NOTE: Currently Volunteers are supporting with 1-1 visits in homes and facilities, sending cards, and making phone calls. We can walk you through so that you can offer this support currently. Complete your online training and other steps with us at this time. We will supply you with personal protective equipment and coach you for support during this pandemic.
What We Do
We in Volunteer Services assign volunteers 1-1 with our Hospice patients and those who support them in homes and facilities when they are not under Covid restrictions for visits. If you are 18 years of age or older and looking for an organization that will help you find your perfect fit in a way that reassures the fact that you as a Volunteer: Matter!
With a wide area of support you do not have to travel far. Our Coordinators are available to you and will listen to you and help you to grow. Your unique patient interactions are important and you the volunteer are considered a part of the patient care team.
We insure your protection and our patients safety with references, fingerprinting, lab work, and background checks as a part of onboarding our volunteers. You will be required to be Covid Vaccinated and receive your flu shot annually. Coordinators are with you every step of the way.
